Rick Ray: A Legacy of Transformation and Passion

Rick Ray is the visionary founder of WDG, a firm renowned for pioneering a shift from traditional financial planning to a coaching-focused approach over a decade ago. His decision enabled WDG to forge deeper, more meaningful relationships with clients, resulting in a client base of over 13,000 and assets under management exceeding $1 billion at the time of his retirement. Rick takes pride in the firm's exceptional client retention, a testament to the trust and connection he cultivated.

Since retiring, Rick has traveled extensively, visiting destinations such as Greece, South Africa, Barbados, Madrid, Miami, Grand Cayman, Big Bend National Park, Las Vegas, and New York City. When he's not exploring the world, he has been reflecting on his next chapter and has committed himself to two fulfilling endeavors: becoming a personal life coach and opening a travel agency. His decision to pursue life coaching stems from a desire to share the wisdom he’s accumulated over the years, with a focus on "helping winners write their comeback stories." Rick believes that everyone encounters difficulties—from divorce to addiction—and his mission is to guide those overcoming hardship toward resilience and renewal.

Family brings Rick immense joy; he enjoys spending quality time with his adult children and grandson. 

A passionate enthusiast of pickleball, Rick has also maintained his interests in competitive barbecue cooking and scuba diving, pursuits that continue to enrich his vibrant life.
